BL51 | Monumental Vase
A monumental Modernist stoneware vase with metallic and matte silverly charcoal drip-glaze, signed by Belgium ceramist Roger Guérin (1892-1954).
Guérin was known largely for his Modernist experiments with salt glaze techniques, and after winning a medal at the Paris Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in 1925, was exhibited internationally. His pottery was exclusively produced in short, limited runs.
