Mid-19th-century Sheffield silver champagne coaster with carved wooden base. The looped wire pickets create a supportive buttress for a bottle or flask, and feature a small commemorative or heraldic disc accent, inscribed with a carving of two birds surrounded by the words of a latin phrase.
