French 19th-century presentation table on foldable X-shaped platform. Industrial yet delicate, the piece is comprised of a gray painted wood rectangular top and metal base with stretcher supports, and retains trace remnants of paint and other chemical reactions acquired over the course of the table's lifetime. Originally used for displaying models or sculptures, it could also be used as an occasional table for other such displays.
