Black Burnished Pottery is also called black clayware and is one of the types of plain earthenware that was prevalent in the Bronze Age. While earthenware from the Neolithic period has a round base, plain earthenware from the Bronze Age has a flat base. Black Burnished Pottery is an earthenware that is tinted with black gloss by grinding and wiping the surface, and applying a mineral such as graphite.
