Faux Painted Panels

A remarkable work of artistry, this set of four rectangular painted faux wood panels comes from late 19th-century France. Beset with a warm blonde lustre and gracefully marbled to affect an impression of burled wood, the straight lines and simple paneled carvings on these screens or dividers make them appear both elegant and restrained.
