Where Muses Dwell

Creative types are sure to feel at home at the Hôtel des Académies et des Arts on Paris's bohemian Left Bank. In a historic building once home to artists like Modigliani and Fujita, the project is the design darling of Stephanie Lizée and Raphael Hugot of Paris-based interior architecture firm Lizée-Hugot Taking their inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh's 'The Room', each space is replete with a number artistic flourishes. From antique handmade pottery to Cocteau-inspired paintings on walls and ceilings, the hotel pays exquisite, highly-researched homage to its artistic antecedents.
