Curated Character: Inside the Details at Tim Clarke Design

Stepping into Where Color Meets Character at Tim Clarke Studio in Santa Monica offers an immersive look at how historic architectural elements, fine art, and raw textures can live together in a single space. Every corner is meticulously layered, creating moments where rustic patinas balance against clean modern forms.

Along the moody dark wall, a collection of small gilt-framed mirrors and vintage portrait art creates an intriguing gallery backdrop. A sleek mid-century wooden credenza sits below the artwork, topped with handcrafted pottery and a custom ceramic table lamp. Nearby, a deep brown leather armchair offers a rich, worn patina that brings warmth to the composition. In the corner, a tall polka-dot ceramic pedestal vessel adds striking vertical drama alongside an oversized antique jar, balancing texture and form across the room.

The Industrial Workspace

Set against a deep charcoal wall painted in Sea Lion by Sydney Harbour, a towering, hand-carved antique empire wood mirror anchors the space , bringing architectural scale and natural wood warmth to the room. Below, an industrial worktable with a heavy wood top and iron accents serves as a desk, perfectly paired with an adjustable vintage swivel stool. A patinated green ceramic table lamp with a textured swirl pattern casts light across sculptural desktop accents, including vintage wooden juggling pins, an inlaid geometric box, a metal molecular sculpture, and a carved wooden baluster.
