AQ12 | Glazed Ceramic Pot
Ceramic stoneware pot with a crackled green glaze, hailing from mid-18th century China. The color quality here is fabulous—the most pellucid marine blue-green, with soft washes of a darker hue dotting the surface in an irregular pattern and glaze drippings at the bottom. The overall decorative program is sensuous, abstract, organic, vaguely recalling leaves floating on the surface of water.
