Early 19th-century Empire style wooden bench or settee. A wonderful example of Continental Neoclassicism, the piece features a slatted, wonderfully detailed hand-carved wooden back and armrest in a rich coffee hue, and a new, custom tufted linen cushion in ivory. A gracious seating arrangement, that is at once graphic and traditional.
